By work, I mean got the movie (spezzifer's Mario 64) in sync. Normally it desyncs on me immediately. I messed around with the config until it worked, but then I had no sound, some further fiddling yielded me sound and sync. Then I exitted cleanly.
15 Minutes later I attempted to play the movie again without messing with the plugins, it desynced in the same manner. I have since been unable to get it working.
The settings I had when it worked was Jabo's Direct3D8 1.6, Jabo's DirectSound 1.5, N-Rage 1.6, Hacktarux RSP
Direct3D8: resolution (lowest)
Hacktarux: use Audio Plugin for Aline (Azimer's WIP one)

After fiddling with the plugins for about 15 minutes I managed to get it to work. Then I closed the emulator, and then I opened it again. And then the settings I used wouldn't work anymore... And then I fiddled for another 45 minutes until I gave up.

Checkboxes in the Windows version are:
Enable WIP Timing
Allow UpDown
Volume Envelope Height Reading
Fake Mute
Sync Sound Samples
All of these are positive checkboxes (check to enable, uncheck to disable)
AFAIK, the only ones implimented in the linux version are -updown -wip and -fakemute, all of these are disabled in this movie, so you *should* be able to play it without passing any special parameters.

You hesitated slightly one time in town.
And also you return to the area with the Metal Slimes to get the Armor, and from what I can tell between those two thing all you do is get the Token, and buy some keys, AFAICT, neither of which is necessary to get the Armor.
Would it be faster if you got the Armor before the Token and then kill yourself in a random encounter?

Is that WIP only supposed to go through link picking up/throwing the first bush? Is the castle stuff you mentioned not yet in the works? Good to see someone improving this run though. Keep it up.
You need to turn on left+right.

hmm... I couldn't help myself and I fooled around a bit with this game again. I'm only to Zelda, but I've already saved over 100 frames. (only 35 came from going right instead of left).
I don't want to steal flag's glory. And I don't plan on doing this for a while (until Magical Pop'n and DK are done). So flag, I'm asking if you want to help or give some pointers, or if you want I'll call it off so you can work on your own improvement.
Realivant Link for the curious
At the end there, it costs more frames to manipulate that guard (at least 5) away than it does to run around it like that (3), and it also looks cool.

The fact is that the proof of this theorem is very recent and incredibly long...
AFAIK, the proof hasn't been accepted yet. If anyone with far more than a casual interest in the Zeta Function wants to check it out here's his paper.
(pdf only)
And his "apology" for the proof which has some background on the techniques used in the proof.

I tried playing this game a little, didn't get past the space colony station in the beginning of the game, because in the fourth room of the escape I got hit by one of those smoke thingies, I really can't think of what to write.
Look at the WIP that Michael Flatley posted. You *want* to get hit by the steam thingys.
