Well, I'm a fan of all adless sites. But then again. I haven't donated so I really don't have a say.

Well, it's phpBB's fault for leaving in so many string literals, especially because all those regexps are so damnned similar they should be shoved into a variable. But I've doublechecked and that should be it.

To change that, all you have to do is edit lines 203, 207, 211, 215, 627 & 633 in includes/bbcode.php *cough* >.>

How about this then? What if you did a short shinespark through the room before the waterpit and the waterpit, then did another one through the long room and the tunnel? This assumes that you can successfully time the Super Missle in the long room. I was working on an .smv of it, until I realized I suck hardcore at TASing Super Metroid. :)

JXQ, what about 82916, charging up while going left, it might reduce the amount of jumps needed.

Create a backup. While you're at it, create two. Anchor a similar starting point. (Using the the first frame of control given is a good start). Do this by playing the movies until you get to DJ's fight and then on each successive frame test to see if a light punch (or a jump) goes through. If so, end recording. Now you have two files with then ending with a single light punch. Open all three files in a hex editor. (The new, the original old and the truncated old.) Find the end of the truncated old and compare it to the old. Now from and including the frame where the light punch lives in the truncated old movie, copy the old movie to the end. Then paste it into the new movie. (Remember to overwrite the light punch in the new movie) That's all there is to it.

In VBA there are three different ways to display on screen text, did you try all three?

I see that HTML is turned on here. However, I don't see which tags are enabled. Usually the word HTML under Options to the left of the Checkboxes is a link. Did Bisqwit turn on HTML without enabling any tags?

Questions: 33200 - No arm pumping on the last platform by the door, why? 33900 - I doubt a smaller jump is possible here. Confirm? 35000 - Would it be faster, (or even possible) to mockball that last one? 37800 - You land so far away from the door, and it looks like you can run through it before you actually do. Luck manipulation? 39000 - 40000 - I seem to remember someone shooting as they went through the door and the beam appearing in the next room. Could this allow more arm pumping in these rooms? 41500 - You go pretty high at the enterance to this room. Could you shorten your jump any and land faster? 44700 - You pull back before aquiring the Varia Suit, even though the cutscene cancels all of your momentum and resets your position. Why? Did you lose any time? 46200 - Instead of killing that bug, damage boost? 49300 - Do you have time to use 5 missles instead? Because you were having some trouble manipulating Super Missles later on. Enough refill points, in fact you max out in the same room. >.> 51500 - You go a bit higher than the platform here? But it was a large jump up, so I don't know if it's possible to jump exactly to the platform here? 53158 - At the exit of this room is it possible to jump and shot and grab the missle pack. (Rather than coming to a stop outside of the room shooting up and then jumping straight up.) 55200 - Five Missles here? 55500 - No arm pumping on this platform, why? Door to Wave Beam- Super Missle? The reason I ask is you're full up until the door right before Crocomire, several refill points. And it takes a while to shot five Missles. 58300 - No arm pumping on this (very short) platform, why? 62200 - Not possible to shinespark over Croco before? 62200 - Is it possible to shinespark lower and still grab the Tank? 62500 - Faster to run through the acid? 63400 - Running slow like that seems much much slower than 15 frames. :/ 65300 - I assume this one can't be grabbed by hitting it with your shoulder while turning around. amirite? 67800 - Diagonal Shinespark maybe? 70000 - Actually, I guess running through the acid wouldn't be feasible at 62500. >.> 71800 - Longshot, but would it be possible to shinespark that using the speed from two rooms ago? (How long does the charge last exactly?) 71800 - If not, why no arm pumping on the last platform before using the Grappling Hook? 72500 - So 66 spare energy units? Not enough to run through the acid at 62500 just a teensy, weensy bit? :3 73600 - Same as before. 80000 - No arm pumping? 82916 - Would it be possible to charge the shinespark while going left? You have to come to a stop to turn around anyway.

So was Rad Racer. But that got 10 Yeses and 3 Mehs. Why the difference?

Well, "Movie End" shows up. So I suppose all you'd have to do to make the button presses show up on the AVI is to make sure you have input display on.

I see no reason why it shouldn't be published. The main complaints are: 1) It's boring 2) It's not a complete run. 3) It looks "sloppy." 1) It's two and a half minutes long. I don't see how anybody can get bored in that short a time span. It also has tricks that'll impress the newcomer (such as the oft mentioned between the rail and the sand), and also some minor optimizations that'll impress the F-Zero run/speedrunner (the contact with the walls, some of the odd lines, etc.) 2) I don't see a full run happening for many years. And there's already a single course from a racing game run (Top Gear.) (Though, that was a site wide competition, from what I understand.) 3) There are quite a few other movies that take damage to save time.

Ok, I finally located a video of it, and all I see is him catching a 10 pound fish and then suddenly getting the Golden Scale. ... But I've caught 10 pound fish as a kid before. (And I've caught a 21 pounder as an adult. Whatever.) Where's the disconnect, what am I missing?

I don't think that opens until you complete Dodongo's Cavern. And you have to enter at night. And you can't get the ones from the flying carpet, they cost 200 a pop. And the Bowling Alley doesn't open until you complete Dodongo's Cavern either.

You can probably have it play back just fine on 1.43+ if you uncheck the "Use WIP1 Timing" box.

Eventually, I'm recently got fired, so I'm looking for a job. And my grandmother asked me to come and help her rebuild her house, so that's where the next few weeks are going. But I've already invested a year in this on and off. So I'm going to finish it if it kills me... when I get all of my shit worked out.

Ah, I thought while refilling the game continued, so the brainbeam would continue, but not deal any damage while the reserve tanks were filling up the energy tanks. Actually, I didn't think that, I just threw it out there as a maybe.

Yes, if what I'm thinking of works (using the time it takes for the reserve tanks to fill the energy tanks to waste the brainbeam's time so less energy is required.) If Teri grabbed 3 energy tanks and only 1 is required for this trick then the percentage is improved.

I mean, will using reserve tanks shorten Motherbrain's brainbeam? So you only have to grab one. And no energy tanks. It probably won't improve the ingame time at all, but it might improve the overall time if it even works.
