The reason why I chose derivative share alike is because I kinda think of TAS movie files in the same terms as I think of free software. You release the file, and anyone who cares to is free to edit to make it better. Closed source TASing would be when people release avis only. Isn't that shady?
Plus, it guarantees that later on there isn't going to be a giant piss fit if someone else "stole" his or her work. And it makes things like the Sonic 3 movie explicitly ok.

Actually, the purpose of this site is to entertain, not to collect best possible times on every game.
I'll leave that challenge up to a website on finite state machines.

Erm... no. If I was to make a parody of a song that song is still protected under copyright. IANAL but, an input file seems like it would be, at the very least, a derivative work under copyright law, which makes it copyrightable.
Therefore, I propose that we explicitly release all content on this site under CC non-commercial, Attrib, Derivative share alike. If we can get in touch with the authors to approve that. If nothing else, we can do so moving forward for all new submissions and publications if we have consensus.
Thanks to OP for bringing this up. This is important.

Oh hi thar, it's been a month since the last post. I'm working on a publishable quality avi for this game.
I have a lossless avi with logo and TAS disclaimers here for reuploading to various intertubes.

Be kind, this is my personal webserver, and it's a 231 MB file. Only download if you're going to reup to youtube or something, a reasonably sized file should be along shortly.

All five vowels appear at least once, in the correct order:
$ grep '.*a.*e.*i.*o.*u' /usr/share/dict/words
abstemious
adventitious
facetious
facetiously
facetiousness
facetiousness's
sacrilegious

A couple of things:
You're using autofire to scroll through text. You're losing on average half a frame on each prompt. (total of about a second thus far on the run. They add up.) If you can find a button other than B which makes the text go autofire one on even frames, the other on odd frames.
The fight with the first boss *looks* improvable, but I haven't actually tried.
There are some paths that you take which don't make sense to me (but it could be my being slightly unfamiliar with the game.)
You shouldn't *need* to swing your sword for randomness, worst comes to worst to a little jig in place (ie, down down down down+left down+right down down down) so you only lose a frame or so and vary where the jig is, preferably you can go back as far as you need until you come to a long diagonal that you can choose several equally speedy paths, and luck manipulate there.
Why did you need to kill that bat in the cave?
And can you explain your rationale for killing two sets of those ghosts?
The Muzh battle looks good though. Very slick :)

As far as I'm aware, no length/size limit imposed.
EDIT: I'm currently uploading Erokky's FF6 video, as it's the largest thing we have.
EDIT2: Failed twice, blank error screen.

You only need a 15 or 16 pound fish to get the scale.
The Hylian Loach is completely optional, gives you a purple rupee if you catch it. The one I caught was about 35-pounds.

You know, there are a whole lot of easter eggs that are in OoT.
Does a 100% run include catching a 21-pound fish?
What about catching the Hylian Loach?
Does a 100% run include the Cow in Link's House?
What about filling up the high score list in Link's House?
Will you be obtaining partial upgrades as part of the 100%?
What about optional partial upgrades (like the Giant's Knife?)
Will you be obtaining all of the masks?
Opening all of the chests?
etc.
