If you want to chop it up, sure.

But it doesn't allow input recording so there's no way of verifying.

Still, *that* one was like 235MB in the original output, it's just that the step where I made the file more amenable to subtitle insertion by mencoder was the one that used a codec that yielded a 2GB file... IMO OmnipotentEntity got an uncompressed capture, which I would use if I had that much space on my disk lol
It is an uncompressed capture. And I do have lots of disk space.

The initial avi dump was 92.2 GB, let's see how far I can compress this down. :D

For everyone attempting to compile this under linux. It's still not working, but at least I have some of the syntactic bugs out of there. It still remains to actually include the options in the GTK frontend. Apply this diff: http://engelsish.org/mupen64linuxpartialfix.diff to this source: http://dehacked.2y.net/mupen64_src-rerecording-v8.7z (Still doesn't compile, but it doesn't compile more!)

It's not a final encode by any stretch, the bit rate is way too high for one. Besides, this movie hasn't even been accepted yet. And I'm not an encoder. :)

Excellent, congratulations on finishing this through. I suspect that it may be faster to do more grinding rather than take an extra trip through Nockmaar. But it's close at best and more entertaining this way.
I also think this for the record. But a yes vote anyway. :)

What on earths name would their legal justifications be? Ads on a site are totally fine, then it would be illegal to have ads on this site as well as we provide videos showing game footage. Hell, SDA even puts several ads on their games pages, dont you think they checked the legal circumstances beforehand?
shh, logic makes heads explode -- also difference: the chrono trigger remake was a remake that you would download and play through whereas a TAS is not a game that you download, it is a movie you watch. given that fan/gitch videos have been up for years and years and years and some have reached partner status I think all of this FUD is completely fucking unwarranted
I find your ideas intriguing and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

Which, unfortunately, make Linux seem like a stripped down, useless OS, which is prone to errors. *points to EeePC*

As in, how many frames does it take to kill 1 monster vs. how many frames do you lose at the boss battle as a result of being level 3 versus level 4?

Besides, why be at 700 ex. on level 3 when you're 10 ex. closer to the next level anyway?!
Is it faster to be at level 4? If it's faster then ok, but if not just hold off.
