Watched it last night but I was unable to really appreciate it at the time. Watched it again today and good work!
[16:36:31] <Mothrayas> I have to say this argument about robot drug usage is a lot more fun than whatever else we have been doing in the past two+ hours
[16:08:10] <BenLubar> a TAS is just the limit of a segmented speedrun as the segment length approaches zero

He didn't say he thought it was console verified because it was running in GBA mode, please do not insert words into the submitter's mouth.

...Except you really can't input other things on this frame. Start doesn't work, jumping doesn't work either.

From what I messed with, it appears to be an unmarked lag frame, the game wouldn't accept any input on that frame.

I watched Donkey Kong earlier, and I saw some jumps which I've tried dozens of times and could never make them nearly as far, and suddenly it's looking like Mario is able to jump farther. Maybe those moves are possible under certain circumstances and I didn't try hard enough, but my first thought was it's a system difference. I don't know if we want to put out movies where you have to start questioning its legitimacy because of the console used.
Thank you to DrD2k9 for resyncing DK94 upon my request up to 5-4 where rng causes a desync: Link to video Those jumps are absolutely possible on DMG and the fact that it's a TAS means you might have trouble doing them real time.

I myself noticed in a Zelda encode flickering that shouldn't be there. But that's the more noticeable sort of thing.

Also various DMG games have broken/missing sound on CGB.
Can you provide some examples?

Which different glitches are used between this and the publication aside from the obvious (ace, wrong warp)?

If a comparison encode were to be made, I would prefer there to not be any sort of numerical comparison like they often have. The emulation differences results in less lag during gameplay on mGBA as opposed to VBA which has less lag during loads.

I really don't understand the complaints here, imo the glitches add some spice to the run and are enjoyable to watch. Yes vote.

Do people still find this tag helpful? I honestly find myself at a loss for how to determine whether or not a run should get this tag.

I am against the idea of banning relying on uninitialized sram for the purposes of a glitch. In my eyes it is not different from relying on it for general gameplay. Additionally banning it because it might be inaccurate is an extremely weak argument in my eyes. Traditionally we have allowed such things in the past and I see no reason to differ here.

I really enjoyed this run! Wing is a very complex ability and you made great use of it! Anyone else have any opinions?

Yeah I worded that badly. But it wasn't important to what I wanted to clear up anyway. I hope my point was clear that a jump to a different point in the credits can both be accepted or rejected, depending on the specific case.
Well given that you had to reply explaining what you actually meant, I'd say it wasn't clear the first time, but now it is.

Plenty of Game End Glitches have existed where the location of the credits they warp to have been different, super mario world is one example. This: http://tasvideos.org/1945M.html is how it used to look, where it warped directly to the end screen, compared to how it is now: http://tasvideos.org/3989M.html
If you're already linking my runs, you should not forget the rejected one, rejected because the jump to the credits location was different.

Which values could it have been initialized to that would allow this TAS to work?

I've discussed it and we absolutely would prefer the run with the harder difficulty included.

We don't manually time runs, run times are simply the length of the primary input file.
