I gotta be honest,i have no idea on how to convert this commands into a lua script or even how to express all the newly found addresses correctly for you guys.I see that my notation and yours is very different and i'm unable to check yours. i have bosses health(it's actually object 1 and 2 health but it works perfectly for the bosses),idle timer, bombs, fire, lamps on stage and lives left but i'd like to share it in a correct way,i tried uploading my memory watch save but i couldn't,i tested this values in battle mode to see if they held up and most did. the way i converted the numbers in the post before don't seem correct either https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_9xtZvndzFWaU05SWtYOEZPYVk I put my memory watch savefile for lsnes here, hopefully you can see my new values to help me understand more EDIT 25/11/2016:bomb types are expressed in 0 normal 1 remote 16 spike 34 slime 64 P i found some adresses related to the equipment and speedshoes but the meaning of the values aren't as clear as other ones.

repetitive somehow, can't really put my finger on why exactly, but seemed just a lot of item chasing and running,i did appreciate the glitch at the 5th stage

you use the dump AVI feature in the emulator, but consider checking with the community if the japanese is recommended for submission since faster start screen is a good reason to use it but text isn't. Good luck on your run, looking forward to see this game TASed.

Mitjitsu pointed out something I've been missing/overlooking for a very long time; sub-pixels. Maybe finding a sub-pixel address would solve that riddle for you - since you can't actually "see" them.
how do you recommend doing that memory search?

BIG EDIT DISCLAIMER:the speed pattern is wrong since i tested it on the european version(justice league tas feelings),dooty gave me insight into that, but the rest of the info i have is pretty good, specially my memory watch file,i tested it on the japanese. -END OF BIG EDIT- i found player1 X and Y position exactly on lsnes: xpos: 8262831 or 7E14AF ypos:8262903 or 7E14F7 default speed is 1 per frame, the green rooey dash is 4 units per frame, next step is finding speed address and the speedshoes gain. After 2 speedshoes you walk an extra unit each 8 frames of walking. After 3 speedshoes you walk an extra unit each 4 frames of walking. After 4 speedshoes you walk an extra unit each 3 frames of walking. After 5 speedshoes you walk an extra unit each 2 frames of walking. After 6 speedshoes,it gets hard to get understand the unit moved by frame oscilated with no clear pattern for me: 22121221221212212212122 units by frame After 7, the pattern is 222122212221... After 8, you walk 2 units and each seven frames you walk 1 unit After 9 you walk 2 units each frame normal mode only has 11 skate which puts one character at max speed and the other not so much.

There are also a lot of various tricks on the TAS channel, many of which were found after the TAS was finished. I haven't really watched many of them and I'm sadly not an SFA expert... Just mentioning it =).

where are they uploaded in the site? i want to learn lua scripting so i'm first reading the tutorials, but i think it would help to see some code that works already since i'm really unable to see how it's being implemented in the TASing, preferably to a simple game that's known.I don't know if it makes any difference but i want to apply them to snes and gba emulators.

banned user,if you're seeing this, start with an easier game with less options like streetfighter 1,mortal kombat1 or fatal fury 1,any other games are really hard to optimize and please go to the forums to show your work and ask for help.

But I guess they're not Mega Man runs, so it doesn't matter.
i'm not familiar with these games that aren't megaman, but knowing the level of optimization that went into these megaman TASes(it has reached a level that is beyond optimized jump n shoot),i'll probably vote for hetfield anyway.I'm not saying this to stir more controversy,i just believe its beyond being megaman, it's about knowing how much was discovered and optimized lately in the series.

the problem i see with secret power is : 1manipulating for no effects in case you don't ohko and don't need the effects given, terrain might not give what you'd want anyway 2the fact it's not necessary to the story 3it also has big dialogue

the super metroid movie premise is something the newcomers don't really know about(boss order),and it takes a while to get interesting(6 mins in haven't seen anything visible),i wouldn't recommend it i like zelda but i imagine it might apply also
