I have TASed this game. Answering your questions, if you still visit this site: Everything I write will be written in my movie description, I just write important info for you. It's possible to run past the flames without fire extinguisher or fire proof suit (getting suit is faster and comfortable for combat) if you run along the wall, but in 95% of cases you take much damage from a flame and then go past it (if it knocks you to a free space to go forward)! I TASed Basement 1 and 7 separately and took damage from flames 3 times and lost about 10 seconds in total comparing to my current TAS! Boss 2 and 3 have the same RAM address as Boss 1. Their health are 24 and 32 (and 4 after you kill boss 3 first time) accordingly. In fight with boss 2 you should just exchange the damage with him (you restore your health during basements). In fight with boss 3 you should go back after every shot to keep your health in normal condition (he will shoot at you when his health goes very low, less than 6). He gets up once after you kill him. Probably all! I'll submit the movie soon.

Had the same problem with other game (SNES version is TASed, I know): http://youtu.be/tFLPJVZu0sM Someone told to download Sega CD .cue Maker, but I had XP then and to open the programme I had to replace comdgl32.ocx file in the system folder and I gave up: http://softadvice.informer.com/Sega_Cd_Cue_Maker.html I don't know how it works on Win 7/8, so you can try it. I read that foobar2000, CUE tools and xrecode II had .cue making function, so you can try 'em too. EDIT: This is a quote from a SonicCD submission: "This movie happens to stay synchronized regardless of whether "Perfect SegaCD Synchro" is on, so if SegaCD emulation is chuggy on your computer, it might help to turn that option off for this movie. It would also help to use BIN+CUE instead of ISO+MP3, because it takes more processing power to decode MP3s than to not decode them. Desync Issues If you're getting desyncs, first make sure you're using the correct ROM and BIOS and emulator version and settings as described above. And don't try to load a mounted disc with "Boot CD", just use Open ROM on the file like normal. Also make sure you have the right number of audio tracks on the CD... if you're using a cue file that means your cue file needs to have the right number of correctly indexed audio track sections, if you're using MP3s that means you need exactly 34 MP3s named properly and in the same directory as your ISO (if the ISO is "Sonic CD (U).iso" then the MP3s should be "Sonic CD (U) 02.mp3" through "Sonic CD (U) 35.mp3"). The actual contents of the audio tracks can be almost anything, but the number of audio tracks has to be correct otherwise the emulated loading times will be different enough to cause a desync. Music This was made with the US version of the game, but if you prefer the music from the Japanese version, you can tell Gens to run the US game but use the music from the Japanese game. The way of doing this depends on whether you are using ISO+MP3 or BIN+CUE. If you are using MP3s, simply replace the MP3 files with the ones from the Japanese version. If you are using BIN+CUE, you can edit the CUE file of the (J) version to use the (U) version for track 01 (data) and use the (J) version starting at track 02 (audio). It should look like this, except with the filenames matching the ones you have: FILE "Sonic CD (U).iso" BINARY TRACK 01 MODE1/2352 INDEX 01 00:00:00 FILE "Sonic CD (J).iso" BINARY TRACK 02 AUDIO PREGAP 00:02:00 INDEX 01 12:14:49 TRACK 03 AUDIO INDEX 00 12:18:63 INDEX 01 12:20:63 TRACK 04 AUDIO ...and so on... One thing those won't work for, though, is the ending music. For that, you'll have to use the actual Japanese version of the game, not only the Japanese audio tracks. You'll also have to use a different version of the movie file for it to sync and version 1.00 of the Japanese MegaCD BIOS. Be warned that Quartz Quadrant has slightly slower in-game times than in the US version (differences during lag frames) even though the movie is about 10 seconds shorter (mostly due to shorter level end music)." I think this is useful information!

You have to test the game yourself! If it's glitching (bad picture), you have no ability to fix it. Make sure that you use the 2010 version of pcsx2-rr. As practice says, you shouldn't skip any cut-scenes (skipping cause desyncs) and don't use any emulator speedhacks! To record the movie in .avi or .mp4, press F12 during the TAS or walkthrough playback and select the codec. The recorded movie will be at normal speed (60 fps).

It seems like everyone will expect that you TAS NES games without effort! That's good :-) I think TASVideos robot can discover the real number of rerecords.

I don't understand. What does it mean "when it seems like something substantial has been fixed in it"? I tried different configs, but nothing has been fixed.

I'd like to report a bug, but I think the same problem is happening to most games! What is the main problem with emulating SEGA Saturn games and are you going to do sth with it? P.S: bug is here (if interesting): http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15183

Nice game and nice run! This game reminds me of James Bond: The Duel which has similar gameplay (excepting objectives). I vote Yes!

Why? Too lazy to make a savestate? You can pause the emulation, make a savestate and continue playing! Load option is already imported. If you're TASing a game, autosave can be done when you're already failed it or a long time before! Are you making quicksaves or save the progress as different file and then loading it "by hand"?

To those who are saying all Zapper games are boring: A game that only uses the Zapper is generally boring. However, there have been good games that have mixed in some shooting parts with other modes of play, and sometimes those shooting parts have been entertaining. (One good example is Vice: Project Doom, and another example is Bayou Billy. They didn't use the Zapper, but I imagine they could have.)
That's right! All games which contain different modes of play, like FPS and side-scroller, don't support zapper, so all zapper games are boring!

If the game is as bad as you're saying maybe you could choose a more entertaining game for demonstrating the zapper support, unless there isn't other viable option.
In my mind it's absolutely unnecessary to TAS zapper games because they are not funny at all! I remember Randil's TAS on Duck Hunt which was the funniest of all zapper games (I think), but it's still boring.

Second controller was broken so I don't remember if we could play together. ? - not sure It's a shooter/beat'em up/adventure with top view. At the beginning you can choose 1 of 4 (or 3 at least) men with 3 different characteristics: health (green), power (red) and ?sth? (blue). The main hero walks in levels like in Rambo 3 and beats enemies, he can find ?boxes? with weapons like bazooka or machine gun or take them from ?enemies?, can beat enemies with them if ammo ended. The storyline contains objective: save birds (probably eagles)! I looked for similar descriptions and screenshots on some sites containing enough big list of games, but still not found.
Maybe it's this game? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Growl_(video_game) It was an arcade game but got a genesis port, the plot was that you're rangers rescuing animals from poachers, you can use rocket launchers and whips and it's a beat'em'up. And this sounds like your description of the character select: 'The player begins the game by choosing from one of four different forest rangers, each with a different amount of health, attack strength, and jumping height.'
Yeah! That's it! Thanks!

Nothing is :-S It's a modern game (story happens in 1960-2000) and has no fantasy or unreal things! Thanks anyway!
