Hi again, Challenger! Any updates with this movie?
I was planning to post here yesterday, but I forgot this. I'm currently trying to improve the furnace level (almost half of the game). Actually I know that the gameplay isn't easy, but never expected a further improvement for this submission (thanks to TAStudio). Over 1000 frames saved until now. Most of the optimization includes better setup speed and a new tricky way to dodge traps (but not all) losing a pixel without affecting speed. I have the movie file, but I'm not on my computer now. I'll post later.

People will disagree but I prefer the sounds and music of the Genesis version more
I agree with you. The music of genesis version is better, since has style and personality, like arkiandruski said on the game topic before.

Never knew how that "corruption" glitch works different than this one (but made on JP version): http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm29365530 I know that the published run has some mistakes (when I worked at the time, I never considered about the existence of "undetected" lags), but this one, well, I find this kill cheat boring to use, because has killed some entertainment when compared with dodging enemies (at least with me). Also, I don't know how much time were saved for each stage (not including battles), but I noted that some tricks were forgotten: 1 - When turnaround, you need to jump exactly like this (because you need to move first): https://i.imgur.com/TPkfBhn.gifv 2 - Sometimes, it's better going to the wall to stop the movement a bit faster. 3 - On stage 16, in the potion warp room, you should crouch while moving, to faster grab that potion. Also, AkumaAPN pointed on the youtube encode of the published run (some months after the publication), some tips to improve this game, such as: From Stage 17: "If you bring up the "select" menu for a second or two during the Monster's descent, he will start his attack a little bit sooner. As it stands in this video, he hesitates for a fraction of a second, waiting for the musical cue. Using the "select" menu will allow the music to advance slightly, and remove the monster's slight hesitation at the bottom of the stairs." And other: This TAS does not take advantage of one other trick on level 19 to save real-world time. At the beginning of the boss match, you are forced to wait for the lengthy Jafar musical cue, which takes about 10 seconds. Once the musical cue is finished, Jafar will finally raise his hand, and summon the first Guard. Elsewhere in the game, Jafar will not proceed unless this particular music plays itself through. But in this one case, he will proceed after any musical cue. Therefore, as soon as you enter Jafar's throne room, you can hold start + select to bring up the standard sound menu. This later one also works during the "finish stage" fanfare (after entering that exit door). I don't know well if this game can be hex-editable, since there are undetected lags and a nasty RNG change on those deadly flames of stage 11. Also, could be interesting to see a warp from level 8.

As well as genesis console, in the list! And Alyosha, since StarTropics 2 and Street Fighter 2010 were obsoleted before, Battletoads 2p warpless is currently the only remaining NES run in the list. The remaining (not including the only GBA run) are a bunch of SNES runs.

I played this game a long time ago (but not entirely, and was the SNES version), I really like this game, and watching this version, your WIPs, and this finished work is incredible! The zips were a great achievement to beat this game even more faster (probably by minutes). Yes vote! Also, what are the "exclusive" glitches on the SNES version?

I was planning to work on this game someday, but since you have done it, nice job with this game overall! Also ending input early is cool, but it makes me wonder if any earlier is possible. Regardless or not, Yes vote for this game. P.S: I'm the "creator" of address page of this game. Thanks for adding more addresses.

How is it going?
Here's the current progress: 660 frames ahead but desync around 51550 frame. (but not final version yet) Actually I never expected a big improvement to this submission. Initially I planned to take a look for this game months ago, but totally forgot because of my involvement with one of remaining runs of the First 500 project. My apologies for the authors of this run.

what is the remaining 3%?
The Secret Options (actually only three are necessary to the remaining 3%): M- Mini-Games. All five of the mini-games that occur in the game, one after another. Beat this perfectly to get the jumping game. J- Jumping Game. The game that you play after every level. Don't land on the Ticks, as you will lose the game if you do. B- Boss Butch. Fight every boss in the game in consecutive order without powers or Gooey. "Retired from Gamefaqs"

Finally you appeared with this run WaddleDX! Watched your work a month ago and these efforts, glitches, optimizations between levels (considering the speed cycling mechanic), were superb! I waited for this run for years. Easy yes vote. Also, do you have plans for another kirby game someday?

Very nice work with the other levels! The great amount of optimization (including "Klilyn" boss, on the forest), puts the published run a lot of outdated in terms of optimization (like the other remaining runs of "The First 500"). Also the vs fights looks more entertaining than before. Keep it up this impressive work guys. :)

And nearly a week has passed... I ended finding much more improvements than I expected. So, probably I'll finish this on next week or two. I saved more than 400 frames until now. ;)

I'm really surprised how you managed to save a great amount of time even when the current run looks very solid (considering how TASing this game needs a lot of skill/knownledge mechanics overall). 627k = lots of brute force management for every level.

I watched more closely, and noted some (or probably more) possible improvements for this run. I'm interested to implement this in your run. Probably I can finish in a few days. ;)

This game looks like unfinished for me, but this run is well executed enough to a Yes vote.
