Looks very clean and tight run so far, keep it up! One question though, at 01:41 min into the avi, wouldnt it be faster if you'd not kill that enemy and instead jump on it to move to the right?

This is why its hard making a good Super Metroid run and I never mentioned anything about entertainment being related with frames in this situation. In many cases, doing a TAS requires to gain every possible frame as we strive for art and also fast as possible runs. You said he was super-serious at the beginning, so how is he now? I can't speak for Saturn so he will answer soon for himself but I merely stated my opinion about his latest post.

I dont understand the logic in: "Frame-optimized is boring and long." I find it much better when a run is optimized. Anyway, do we dare ask Mister JXQ, when/if he will take on the huge task of doing a 100% run? :P

What a day this has been :) This is so easy to vote Yes on. I have looked at many of Vatcherns WIP and know this run is really good. Unlike my run, this run has some really nice glitches which Vatchern uses to the maximum and therefore this run should get accepted. Vatchern Im very proud of you. Kickass movie, great job bro!

No more bullshitting around, ladies and gentlemen, this time our (Me and De's) skills are a bit higher and there will be no mistakes. We will take it much slower compared with last time in order to gain every frame possible and obviously to find any new glitches and try to improve everything which is quite evident in this file: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/440/Mega%20Man%204%20WIP%20AngerFist%26DeHackEd.fcm This is our WIP. Its 184 frames faster than our current published run and 52 frames faster than Shinryuu's current WIP. Of course, it should be noted that our WIP got help from Shinryuu's one but I (with guidance from Bisqwit) redid a couple of parts so it has some original moves etc.

Here is another bug (?). It seems like it doesnt respond on that exact frame I want to slide (played on 3% of speed). Instead mega man slides the frame after. Same thing when you are loading, the screen appears a bit too late if you ask me.

I think I just experienced the same thing or similar what Baxter experienced. When I load a state (and have activated the frame counter) and lets say I screwed up and must press F7 (= my load state button) to redo a part, the red text below changes from frame counter to State X Loaded and doesnt change back to frame counter which is very annoying.

Famtasia or no Famtasia, when you are gonna jump on a platform, and it requires only to jump 6 pixels and not 7, you use then common sense and only jump 6 pixels. Now that was only a tiny example. There is two-three things we must redo. First thing is Pharaoh Man stage, the sand part can be improved by 30-40 frames give or take and the boss battle. This time, we'll take it veeeery slow.. no rush etc to gain every freakin frame and to make 0% mistake during the entire run.
