Before/if you continue working your run, I strongly recommend using the latest version. Because a) you are almost 2000 revisions behind and b) I am quite sure somewhere along the road there have been a few revisions which should in a positive way affect your ability to tas Metroid Prime. I recall there have been work made to tasinput, sound affecting Metroid Prime etc. Though not exactly sure if the version you are using include those fixes, but I doubt it. If your revision isn't affected by the latest various fixes then disregard my concern for you and good luck.

If Phil's run is obsoleted because adelikat is faster then by all means, obsolete Phil's run. But it's equally fast as stated in the submission text. That's quite discouraging for Phil and how we normally obsolete a slower run. That was my two cents.

Fantastic work diggi! You did everything I had imagined for Wily 2. I will try my hands now on the boss. It seems like you don't have to optimized to death your first jump towards its tail because it takes a lot of time before it moves down for your second jump. The goal is to try hitting it 4 times before the second jump.

I am very glad you noticed I turned left for one frame to kill that enemy. The reason is because of RNG. You see in like exoSDA's speedrun, that particular enemy flew very high up. In our case, it goes up in midair. I am one frame or two from avoiding its pellet before facing the next set of enemies. By the time you are about to jump, its pellet has reached you while you are jumping. So all in all, sacrifing one frame was the best I could do unless you find a way to gain that frame.
Oh man diggi I spent many many hours trying to find the best pattern for the dragon. When you jump and your distance towards it really matter. What was also very frustrating is that the fight had a few blank frames. Again, maybe you could squeeze one frame or two but know that I tested a lot of things.
Yeah I figured there shouldnt be too much testing if Concrete would be faster because of how many frames it takes to activate it and also saving Concrete shots is obviously very important aswell.

Beautiful strategy diggi! Not sure if this will help but before switching to Magma Bazooka (one of the coolest name of a weapon!), fire one of the heads with Rush Coil/Jet and then switch to Magma Bazooka. That should maybe help solve the matter.

Okay, so I studied a bit the Wily stages and here are my conclusions:
Wily 1) Basically this whole stage is quite easy to tas when it comes to selecting weaponry. Rush Coil and Rush Jet. Only thing I am wondering is if it's faster switching to Concrete Shot for the miniboss. One big thing I'd like to point is the boss fight. There has got to be a way to make it several seconds faster. I am pretty damn sure that even if we switch to a stronger weapon, refilling weapon X should take much less time compared with having a much faster boss fight.
Wily 2) Basically the same approach. Rush Coil, Concrete Shot and L Trident.
Wily 3) Seems to be a very easy stage. Definitely using Rush Coil. I am pretty sure we do not need to use Tornado weapon like exoSDA did in the end of the stage.
Wily 4) Before we reach Wily 4, we should obviously try being a pascifist as much as possible to avoid using the M tank and/or big refills.

1) Did you test not taking a hit in Tornado Man?
2) Did you make absolutely sure that simply falling down vs. jumping before a was faster or equally fast? 'Cause normally you have better Y-value if you are jumping before a pit. Yeah now begins the headache of planning weapon usage.

I see what you mean Diggi. It seems we are forced to use Concrete Shot before. Can we use Concrete Shot afterwards? Specifically the last room where we nudge the three blocks. Was thinking maybe using Concrete Shot there? Also, I had completely forgotten to ask you this before but why did you pause abuse the Jewel Man fight? Since we haven't done it before in our run, I do not think that will look good and consistent with our goal, which is no pause abuse.

Diggi, I haven't measured how much we saved from saving yet another bee for the second half of the stage. I tased up to the point where Jewel Man is only 1hp from filling up his HP. Can you please try hexing?
