This has been brought up before. Supposedly two extra weapon switches is too much to see a net gain from zipping there, which is why finalfighter doesn't zip in his movie either.
Has anyone actually tested if its slower or not? Switching weapons goes really fast compared with MM3-6.

Well the speed is much better in DKC2 than DKC3. Watched the first few minutes in your run (will watch the rest tomorrow) and even though there wasnt so much action in the beginning (which is clearly not your fault), Im gonna vote yes because you played it as fast and entertaining as you could. Another DKC run from Sami :)

Still alive. Just finished Ring Man and according to my calculations, we are currently 748 frames faster than our previous run, meaning we are 12,4 seconds ahead.
Edit:
by the way, I should mention that I think I found a unknown trick for the first huge ring enemy (not sure if Kopernical discovered this first), during when I kill him, I managed to slide beneath from one of his rings and didnt get hit somehow.. I also destroyed my previous attempt for the first ladder areas in Ring Man, found a new method which is pretty significant.

He means specifically re-encoding the old famtasia files and old runs who has not been encoded with H/X .264. You would benefit by this procedure getting much lower filesize runs, better graphic etc you know the rest.

Viewed your whole run. Im voting Yes but its not a strong yes vote because I get the feeling that it wasnt fully 100% optimized. Im thinking mainly of your battle against that Grim Reaper boss. I felt you could do more damage on him depending on where you are standing. Maybe Im completely wrong because I obviously dont have any understanding how this games physics works. What caught my eye is that nearly 98% of the whole run, you guys walked and jumped backwards which was very cool! Overall, I think this run does deserves to be published.

I used exactly the same settings (= Sync Sampples with sound CPU, Fake Mute desync workaround) as you Nightcom but it freezed after a few seconds. Any suggestions how I can solve the problem?

There is no obligation to inform the author that you are planning to work on his/her run, but there are things called, respect, sportsmanship, fair play etc. You would most probably create a better relationship and atmosphere between you and the author of the run by notifying that you want to try improve his/her run.
