Normally, the flame room prohibits entry without the Cloak. If the Hero enters without the Cloak, he is forced back out into the mirror room. However, if the Hero dies and Continue is used, he is placed back into the previous room. If this is done after the Hero has been forced out of the flame room, he is placed back into the flame room when Continue is used. If the hero enters the flame room in this manner, he will not be ejected, even if he does not possess the Cloak. Thus, allowing the Hero to die and using Continue in this situation precludes the need to collect the Cloak, which saves considerable time.

The title of this game is Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: The Action Game. This differentiates it from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure, which was also released in 1989 (albeit not for the NES). This also differentiates it from the later Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, released in 1991. Yes vote!

Please do! This is a fun trilemma. Type C seems correct, but it depends on whether Twin Laser has a greater damage rate than Type A Laser.

I would do ultimortal difficulty if I went for any higher difficulty. Am considering doing that once I'm done with this run. Maybe a 2 HP run.
I like your thinking!

It strikes me that faster enemies, less health powerups, and very difficult bosses could make for a more exciting run.
Agreed.

Only just watching this now, and what took me off-guard was the music. Areas 2 and 4 have completely different songs to the ones I heard in this game as a kid. So there are different versions of this game with different songs?
From TCRF.net: "In the US 1.0 and European versions, the music for Stage 2 is a metal tune and fitting for the level theme. For some reason, the US 1.1 and Japanese versions changed it to circus music to fit with the "clown" theme."

As it seems, MAME-RR doesn't emulate the video output 100% accurately.
Thanks for posting about this, fsvgm777, as this is a pretty common less-than fatal error encountered with games in MAME. Aside from the screen fade transition, did you notice any differences in the graphics?

Here's some footage recorded from an actual arcade cabinet.
This video does not use a cabinet, strictly speaking, but the PCB with a SuperGun interface.

Speaking of which... did anybody thought of making a TAS of Vendetta?
This would be great! Or Crime Fighters, for that matter! 4-player groin attack mayhem! :)

Welcome to TASVideos, Mihoru! It is exciting to see you here! You have good taste in arcade games, and this game was a great game choice to TAS. It's fast, funny, and surprising. I look forward to your future TASes! Also, thank you Dimon12321 for suggesting that Mihoru submit this!
