Twisted Eye, Az Atorse Main Body can only be destroyed if all 8 Orbs are destroyed, or if its self-destruct timer expires. The Submission has been updated to clarify this a bit. The only reason I mention that Az Atorse Main Body can be damaged is because I had hoped for a shortcut to avoid the Orb battle, and thought there might have been a chance at damage overflow or some such by attacking it directly. Suffice it to say, I wailed on that sucker.. To no avail.

Zurreco, the Stage Clear sequence will not trigger unless Elta is standing on a surface with no momentum.

mamuuuut, I use Difficulty Level 3 to provide Elta with maximum Hit Points in order to use the "Elevatum Levitatum" technique as many times as possible. I did not wish to set the Difficulty any lower than was necessary to achieve this.

It is as Patashu says, I end input on the earliest Frame that allows Elta to survive long enough for Az Atorse to self-destruct. This is done with respect to TASVideos.org rules regarding movie length. Depending on viewer reaction, I may submit a "Fastest Game Completion" version of this TAS, have it debated in the Forum for a month, and see it ultimately rejected and placed in Gruefood Delight. :)

I guess I should have mentioned about the other stages. I played a lot of this game back in those halcyon days. :) And despite the usual mockery, this is certainly not a bad game for the console.

To clarify, the title of the game is Star Wars Return of the Jedi Death Star Battle This is not to be confused with "Star Wars The Arcade Game" which also features a Death Star battle (against a more complete Death Star).

As much as I'd like to have contributed to this effort, I can't take credit for the work that... well, those other Players did. My name was obviously included by some sort of oversight, so please omit my name from the submission text. My thanks to you.

My account has not been grandfathered into the TASVideos Pro site, so I am faced with the prospect of a subscription fee. I can't both TAS and be employed--it's one or the other. This means I don't have much money. It is my understanding that having a TAS published to TASVideos Pro will earn a user a 1 year subscription to the site. My question is this can I buy my way in with a TAS of sufficient quality? Or would I still be required to pay the initial fee before then receiving a 1 year extension to my subscription?

0ho! Gruefood Delight! I do not consider this a rejection at all! :) May it feed the Grue for all time. My thanks to CoolKirby for his suggestion, and my apologies for harassing the moderators of the YouTube TASvidz Channel to remove the video. I only wanted to minimize the occurrences of the videos on YouTube to simplify things, and I did not realize at the time that TASVideos.org had plans for it.

Argh, I waited too long to cancel the Submission, and now I am stuck with an ugly "Rejected" in my library. :)

Being that the site is entirely focused on the use of emulators, I'm inclined to think that minimum Input File length is the main goal. Particularly because, no matter how many Frames I spend trying, my movies will *never* be entertaining. P

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, CoolKirby. I didn't realize this was going on, but I guess it explains the delay in judgment. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who is uncertain about Input File length vs. AVI length. I had hoped I would not have to make this choice when making a TAS. I was lucky when making my first TAS in that ending input as early as possible also resulted in the shortest possible AVI. But toward the end of making my original Submission for this game, I realized that ending input as soon as possible would make a big difference in the length of the AVI. Out of principle, I chose the shorter Input File. I created the newer Submission in response to viewer feedback.

Well mklip2001, I really wasn't sure how to categorize it. It's not really the shortest possible movie, or the fastest to "The End" as Aqfaq has suggested, because the ending sequence screens can be skipped by pressing the A button. Because I opted not to do so, I thought "fastest to completion" or something similar was more appropriate.

I'm gratified to get any vote other than 'No' for this one. :) The game is ugly, but at least it's short!

Thanks for the encode Ilari, and for allowing the ending theme music to finish its loop on the "The End" screen. :) And thanks Feos for the subtitles tip.

Yes MESHUGGAH, I made the turn on Frame 26284 instead to manipulate luck. I recognize that the exit here can be reached on an earlier Frame, but this would cause the transition to the next area to be 10 Frames longer.

In my defense, it completes the game in about half the time of the only complete (albeit unoptimized) video of this game I could find on the internet.
