I've been thinking about a solo black mage beating FFZZ with just Conf and Bane. The developer of this hack said, "It is not possible to complete any special challenges in FFZz, such as hardcore runs, duos and solos." I think I can prove him wrong in this TAS. Confusion and Bane will probably finish off all the enemies. This TAS makes it to the Marsh Cave, after beating the Pirates with only 2 characters remaining. Edit: I found there is a room on the second floor of the marsh cave, with a spike tile. The enemies on that tile have a lot of health, and I needed to confuse them to win as fast as possible. I used another Confuse on the fight before the miniboss, but I was out of MP for the Wizards and Sorcerer. I will need to level up to 5 or something before the Marsh Cave to have a chance at coming out alive. Edit 2: I just realized that I could buy another Conf. However, gold is a bit tight, so I'll have to win more battles.

Up to Elfland. If I knew how to write Lua scripts or something similar, I could have found better rounds for the Garland, Pirate and R.Sahag fights. Finding at least pretty good rounds is hard and tiresome, often taking several minutes to come close to what I want. Also, this TAS uses the fastest names possible, because I don't know where the letters are, and I wanted to get on with the actual TAS. I don't know how the RNG works in this version, because it has been improved from the original. Uses a party of a Fighter, Red Mage, and two Black Mages. The Fighter is used for higher damage rolls than the mages can do with Fire, the Red Mage is used mostly for Garland, and the Black Mages are the most useful. I feel like for the first half of the game, I will be taking advantage of the higher strength of enemies, with Conf.

I can't believe it! I had found something in Yellow that made it so you wouldn't have 152 pokemon, but I had totally forgotten until today. I didn't realize that there would be 3 swaps (which wastes a little more time) to get: 1. a rating that doesn't require an button press to clear, and 2. less lag for click items in battle. This is the last improvement with these strategies, for sure. As a reminder, this is not meant to beat any records, just to show something I had discovered a while back... and do that part as fast as possible.

Fixed now, it starts from power on. I just copied and pasted the inputs from my previous userfile, after the reset. I don't know how my TAS is the same number of frames as one done in Bizhawk (which takes 1-2 frames less to start up)

About 6 seconds improvement on Tiger, .01 improvement on Soda Popinski, a 0.66 improvement on Don 2, a 10.34 improvement on Macho... followed by a 1.72 time loss on the final fight. I'll try to improve it, but I just can't seem to do it right now (as in, I tried three times, each time getting me the same realtime, but 2:01.97 instead of 2:00.25.)

This is a 6-second improvement. Now, it's probably submission-worthy, but I'll have to check a possible improvement I just thought of, on Great Tiger. Edit: The original improvement I thought of didn't work, but I still found a massive improvement: one on Tiger, Soda, Macho, and I believe Don 2. Trying to either tie or improve the time of the final fight, now it's giving me a 2:01 instead of 2:00.

up to Lex Lumpblocker 1. I'm not sure how Daniel T did so much damage with his punches in his video, but I beat his perfect times list on Alpha Bonehead and Helmut Skull. Edit: Improved Helmut Skull by a little bit. I'm now trying to see if I can get more 6-punch combinations by manipulating luck at the start.

Uses FCEUX 2.3.0, cheats dialogue instead of GG ROM. I can't figure out the RTA timing, because I didn't know where to end the TAS. I ended on the first frame that beats the game, the last frame of input.

Now this is right. Apparently, I had the movie recent settings freeze option checked, which made me think the movie desynced. Made in 2.6.1, so I know it's right. It definitely beats P4wn3r's 1:27.23 by at least one frame, not including bios and lag differences.

Improves my previous run by a few seconds. It says this is a 1:26, but in 2.4, the version where I made this movie before putting it into 2.6.1, it says 1:33.826, which I find more believeable since P4wn3r's TAS with this strategy gets a 1:27.23 without startup screens. If it is a 1:26, this beats P4wn3r's TAS that doesn't have a TID manip by about a second.

In areas you may think have glitches, I don't think they are. 4-2 is just using the jumping code to our advantage, not using wrong warps or anything like that. 8-4 is just jumping to a height that you can reach the pipe without turning around or slowing down.

1-1: I think this is the fastest it can happen. 1-2: I was unable to get the fastest 1-2; 1 framerule off. 4-1: I didn't take advantage of infinite jumps as much as I could have, but I was having some trouble with FPG. 4-2: Did the top clip on my own; not the fastest clip you can do with AEPLLG but still good. 8-1: Solid. 8-2 and 8-3: You can freeze the timer if you are high up enough This is used to avoid fireworks. 8-4: There's a wrong warp one can do in room 1, but I have no idea how that works. It saves time in WJ room, too. I just go the normal route.
I ended input on the first frame possible.

The only slow part (I believe) is Warm-up. I couldn't seem to hit him at the right time. Sparring is a frame faster (in-game) due to delaying the start of the fight.
