Let's imagine it was rejected. Would ANYONE insist on putting this into a Gruefood Delight list? I'm sure no, because delight means the run has SOMETHING to show superhumanity. Here I liked bosses, but all the rest was just causing me to repeat: "WTF AM I WATCHING???" Is it really so much better than NES Home Alone 2?

EDIT: I've seen it and my eyes are bleeding (didn't listen though). I vote No, but will upload a fast encode.

MESHUGGAH: Did you find out the exact RNG work here? Sounds like it's similar to Toads. Switches in time by some value and input advances it even further. I guess there are at least 2 addresses containing the RNG that rules enemies spawn and behaviour and some other things.

If you emulated a segment, then changing the input you cut the greenzone, it counts as one rerecord. Loading a branch is also one. You can just enable rerecord count display (M button) and check.

As no one inducated he's encoding it, I'll make an HD encode now.

MESHUGGAH, do you use text Notes that can be added to Markers? If I didn't mention, Markers are added by doubleclick on a framenumber. For co-op tases Notes are extremely useful.

Is saving a state on one computer gonna save this state on another computer too? This gives instead of 20 slots only 10 for both.

Is there a fixed time between Buzz leaving the screen and the "stage completed" screen appears? If not, I think some frames could be saved during the boss battles by just running to the right to where the screen stops scrolling. How entertaining that would be, I don't really know, I don't TAS.

More phylosophy: TASing is trying to make something ideally. In all possible aspects. Thing is far from ideal if it's just better than the others. It can not be judged this way at all. Only the one who HAS the idea of ideal himself can compare things to THIS IDEAL. If they meet it or are really close to it, it deserves a star. And the most important feature of ideal is novelty! Something that really does introduce the unseen. So a starman is the most progressive guy in the whole comunity. And it has no mercy when an expert player doesn't meet the ideal with his run. On the other side, he always notices when a newcomer manages to meet it. All these things aren't esotheric, because ideal is what makes tases tick and blow the audience each time. And the long-term purpose of all that is to encourage players to make tases that meet this ideal, giving the best examples of it. It's like, TEACHING others what true godlikeness is. PS: it's funny how tasing is connected to divinity, not having ANY religious thesises in itself, even standing above them all, since we are about DOING divine things more than speaking of them.

WOW, this game is so psychodelic! Mouse can swim from one coffee cup into another! The music is simply mad! But it's very good choise for tasing. Wanna proof? Here it is. Second one is the same with the obsoleted movie: Encoding, in other words...

There are 2 ways to find glitches. 1. Pure luck. 2. ENDLESS TESTINGS. The second means you need to find out as much data from the game you tas as possible. For example, you find X and Y subpixels. Then you figure out how collision works (like, chip and dale push out each other, not allowing to shove one sprite into another). Then you just try ALL possibilites of collision: - You find how much pixel window you have to interact with an object - You try to manipulate subpixels, going through all 256 possibilites for each pixel of collision. - This way you test literally ALL possibilities of object interaction. If there's a 4-pixel window when you bump the object, it would be something about 4 * 256 = 1024 situations. This may or may not show you the programming fault somewhere inside this routine. But if you keep that approach in mind evey time you test something, you would definitely see MORE ways to do one thing or another.

ais523: it costs frames when it doesn't matter to save frames when it does

In such cases btw, a starman shall look on all branches of the same game from the point of real-time impossibility, when he decides which one better deserves a star. But yes, the other branches may be examples of best too and not have a star. When this happens, we kinda choose best of THE BEST runs.

Actually, we're going to need a judgepublisher to get everything fully covered. ...turska?
Wouldn't work here unless turska TASes this thing. Or co-authors with Dooty!

Level Completed Screen

For the most part this game has a pretty solid pacing excluding the level completed screen. I have been told that isn't as miserable to casual viewers but for how many times I have watched this run now it can be annoying and I apologize for that as it cannot be skipped.

This is not true. It can be skipped by pressing either A or B (not too sure right now). Have this FM2 as proof. (done unassisted, by the way)
Well damn. Where were you 3 or 4 weeks ago? It can indeed be skipped through hitting A or B on the exact correct frame. It doesn't even affect a single bit of luck. Mods/Admins... I will leave this at your mercy but I have to ask do I need to resubmit this file to get this faster time published? I literally click A 80 frames after the end level screen begins and press B 65 frames later and it saves 5 minutes and 7.1 seconds without changing a single frame of input in levels. Is there a way I could just have the file change or do I have to go through the submission process again? I know this will greatly increase the entertainment so I don't see why it wouldn't be accepted but I don't want to bog up the submission feed if I don't have to.
Just resubmit.
Re-encoding hehe.

New revision allows you guys to switch the player slot you're currently recording by pressing W (default hotkay, change any way). Extremely handy for an old-school tasing of a 2 player game. http://code.google.com/p/feos-tas/downloads/detail?name=fceux.exe

Opinions of some people are more objective than other's (some are at all quite random). We can't use "avarage" opinion to detect best movie, that's what I'm saying. This and skipping some 8.0 movies from "popular" list (for no reason) makes this list pointless in my eyes. This list is better in such case, but it has little to do with BEST runs either.
